"Happy" is world premiering at the Toronto Short Film Festival! This passion project has been a true labour of love. I devoted 5 years to the creation of this film throughout all phases of the filmmaking process as the Writer, Producer, Director and Star. Seeing this vision come to life and being deeply involved in its creation fills me with immense pride. My unwavering belief in this story’s message and relentless perseverance in finding the right collaborators have brought this film to the big screen. Happy is a horror/thriller film about the pains of depression and the fear of coming out. A well-intentioned man must overcome depression with the help of his wife and secret boyfriend while a sinister presence entices him to do the unthinkable. The more he clings to conventional happiness, the more his real happiness begins to slip.
